There are two categories in this: B-1 for temporary business visitors and B-2 for pleasure or medical treatment. B-1 visas are issued jointly with the B-2 (i.e. visitor for pleasure) visa. An alien, who is on a visitor visa and wants to take a short course of study of less than 18 hours per week, may be able to do so. However, if the course of study is more than 18 hours a week, he/she will need a student visa. F-1 visa is for non-immigrants wishing to pursue academic studies and/or language training programs. An alien wishing to enter the United States to marry a U.S. citizen fiancé or fiancée must apply for a K-1 nonimmigrant visa. Our Washington Immigration lawyers are able to assist you with these.

Personal Injury

If you have been injured and are looking for a Washington Personal Injury attorney who will provide quality legal services, contact our offices. We represent individuals in Personal Injury matters, not corporations.

Our primary focus is representing injured people in PERSONAL INJURY cases who by no fault of their own are injured, our personal injury practice areas include but are not limited to:

Car Accidents. Many Seattle drivers pay little attention to signals and drive recklessly paying little or no attention to other road users. A car accident can cause among other’s bodily injury , pain and suffering, wage loss and emotional distress.

Truck accidents. Whether you’re the injured party in a semi-truck accident or facing disputes involving multiple liable parties, understanding the legal process is key to ensuring fair compensation. How do factors like severe injuries or liability disputes shape the outcome of your truck accident lawsuit? It is crucial to Understand these complexities and what factors will determine your compensation.

Premises Liability

Slips, trips and falls cause numerous deaths and injuries in workplaces, schools, stores and in homes. Slips are the result of too little friction or a lack of traction between the footwear and the floor surface. A trip is the result of a foot striking or colliding with an object, which causes a loss in balance, and usually a fall. Studies show that 66% of falls occur on the same level as a result of slip or trip.

Motorcycle Accidents. A Motorcycle Accident refers to an incident involving a motorcyclist and their motorcycle that results in harm, injury, or damage. These accidents can occur due to various circumstances, including collisions with other vehicles, road hazards, or single-vehicle incidents. The legal implications of a motorcycle accident are complex and may involve issues related to liability, insurance claims, personal injury, property damage, and even criminal charges in some cases. Personal Injury Claims: When a motorcyclist sustains injuries in an accident, they may pursue a personal injury claim against the party or parties at fault. Personal injury claims seek compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other damages resulting from the accident.

Statutes of Limitations: It’s important to be aware of statutes of limitations, which are time limits for filing legal claims. These time limits vary by jurisdiction and the type of claim. Failing to file a claim within the applicable statute of limitations can result in the loss of the right to seek compensation.

Pedestrian Accidents. A pedestrian accident occurs when a person on foot collides with a moving vehicle, leading to potentially devastating consequences. This broad category of accidents is not limited to interactions with cars but extends to a variety of vehicles such as trucks, motorcycles, bicycles, buses, and trams, including the possibility of a car accident. The unpredictability of pedestrian accidents is further underscored by their occurrence in diverse settings ranging from urban areas and rural roads to parking lots and residential driveways, where an accident happened.

Wrongful Death. Wrongful death is a type of legal claim or cause of action against a person who can be held liable for a death. The claim is brought in a civil action, usually by close relatives, as authorized by statute. In wrongful death cases, survivors are compensated for the harm and losses they have suffered after losing a loved one.

Products Liability. Product liability is the area of law in which manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, retailers, and others who make products available to the public are held responsible for the injuries those products cause. Although the word “product” has broad connotations, product liability as an area of law is traditionally limited to products in the form of tangible personal property.[

Dog bites. If you’ve been the victim of a dog attack, you can usually sue the dog’s owner. After you’ve received medical attention, the most important thing you can do is speak with an experienced attorney  to evaluate your case.

Family Law

Divorce

A divorce is defined as a legal action filed by a married person or persons to end a marriage. When it comes to divorce, Washington is a “no fault” state, which means that a court will not need to assign “fault” to either spouse in the divorce. Instead, a divorce can be sought simply because the marriage is irretrievably broken, such that the spouses are not expected to reconcile. To seek a divorce in Washington, one of the spouses must have been a Washington resident for at least six months prior to filing the divorce petition. Our divorce attorney can help Washington residents and other people throughout King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties complete the necessary procedures for dissolving their marriage. While the process may seem simple at first glance, an attorney can make sure that none of the technicalities is overlooked and that you understand all of the legal implications.
